Terms of Service

The short version: you own what you make, be decent, subscriptions renew until cancelled, and refunds are fair. The full version:

1. What ShortThumbs is

ShortThumbs is an in-browser design tool for making YouTube Shorts thumbnails (1080×1920 images). Everything runs in your browser: your photos and designs stay on your device. The only thing that leaves your machine is your account record (email, name, plan).

2. Accounts

The editor requires a free account via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. One person, one account — sharing an account to share a Pro plan is not allowed.

3. Free and Pro plans

The Free plan gives you the full editor and unlimited 1080p exports at no cost. The Pro plan ($5/month or $49/year) adds higher-resolution exports, premium effects, templates and cloud sync. Plan features and prices are listed in the app and may change — changes never apply retroactively to a period you already paid for.

4. Your content

You own everything you create with ShortThumbs. We claim no rights over your images or exported thumbnails. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to any photos you upload.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use ShortThumbs to create content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights; do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Payments and billing

Pro subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Your payment details are handled by Paddle and never reach our servers. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the link in your receipt email — you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Paddle handles all billing queries, taxes and invoices as the seller of record.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy: requests within 14 days of a payment are reviewed case-by-case, and statutory consumer rights always apply. See the Refund Policy page for details.

8. Service availability

ShortThumbs is provided "as is". We aim for the editor to keep working even if our servers are down — most of the editor runs locally in your browser — but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of accounts, cloud sync or checkout.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortThumbs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page. Questions? Contact us at contact@shortthumbs.com.
